Vortex Generators (VGs) are becoming more and more popular in general aviation today
Vortex Generators (VGs) are becoming more and more popular in general aviation today. Most of our kits consist of approximately 90 small tabs that are glued onto the leading edge area of the wings in very precise locations. The layout of our VGs is determined for each aircraft through extensive flight testing and substantial supporting engineering studies and reports. Each of our kits is certified by the FAA with an STC for that model aircraft. Our STCs include FAA certification of performance numbers as well as weight increases for each model aircraft.

Each kit is designed to optimize the flow over the wing. The VGs energize the airflow by spinning it into tiny vortices which travel over the wing and compress the boundary layer. This delays the stall by forcing the separation of airflow further aft along the wing chord, thus allowing the wing to achieve a higher angle of attack before the stall separation occurs.
