Voice and Data Satellite Communication System

The Satcom 906 is a six-channel voice and data satellite communication system. The integrated system provides support for cockpit data and voice, as well as revenue-generating passenger telephone, fax and PC links. One channel is dedicated to cockpit data; the remaining five allow for increased revenue-generating capacity. The system allows passengers and flight crew to communicate with the world outside an aircraft, no matter where the aircraft is. Supporting two to six channels, it and allows the user to operate with few channels initially and expand the system as necessary.
