DY 4 Systems Inc.V digital signal processor board features a high-throughput multiprocessing architecture based on either dual or quad PowerPC G3 (750) or G4 (MPC7400/AltiVec). The board is capable of 14.4 GFLOPS in a single 6U VME slot. The board, which supports two industry-standard PMC expansion modules, is available in a number of ruggedization levels from benign/development to extended temperature, in both air- and conduction-cooled types to meet harsh aerospace, ground-mobile, industrial or military requirements. In addition to either dual or quad Power PC processors at speeds to 600 MHz, the board has a 250-MHz MPC8240 core processor that delivers a further, independent 6.1 SPECint95 performance plus up to 16 Mbytes of Flash memory. Global memory is up to 64 Mbytes of 64-bit wide SDRAM. In addition, each PowerPC pair has its own local memory, SDRAM up to 64 Mbytes and 64-bit wide and each of the PowerPC DSPs has its own backside L2 cache of up to two Mbytes of SBSRAM.
