United Rotorcraft Solutions Delivers A Refurbed Bell 206 To Helidosa

Decatur, GA - United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) delivered a completely refurbished Bell 206L3 to Helidosa of the Dominica Republic on March 20, 2009.
Helidosa is the largest, most experienced helicopter sightseeing company in the Dominican Republic with 15 helicopters in their fleet.
The 206 was sent to URS for a nose to tail upgrade. URS removed all the avionics and communications equipment along with the Stormscope, autopilot, split buss systems and over sized instrument panel. The ECU and bleed air heater were also removed.
The helicopter was cleaned of all mildew, stripped and repainted, all new Tech-Tool windows and interior plastics were installed and the instrumentation was overhauled. URS installed new air conditioning, patient lights, replaced cabin lighting with LED, repaired the Devore lights, installed Whelen tip strobes and a Super Night Scanner.
The avionics and communications systems upgrade included the GPS/Com/Nav GNS530AW, Comm 2 SL40, the GMA347H audio control panel with MP3, Cell and Sat Phone input with five (5) station aft cabin ICS and the GTX327 transponder. The Honeywell KCS55A HSI, Avionics Comm Innovations stereo, GPS/Nav switching and an avionics master switch were also installed along with a complete aircraft re-wire. Two more refurbishments are planned for this year.
And United Rotorcraft Solutions recently completed major maintenance and repairs on a Bell 222. The work performed included repair of the left sponson delamination, the loose stinger, starter generators, the main rotor blades and corrosion under the copilot door. URS also repaired the DME and performed maintenance to include various AD's and ASB's, engine overhauls, annual inspection and discrepancies.
