Threat Signal Generator

MPD Technologies, Inc.A threat signal generator tests and verifies installation, cabling, antenna and overall system performance of aircraft electronic warfare systems. With the ability to radiate simulated threats without physical connection to the aircraft, the generator can be used to verify angle of arrival and system performance. It generates preprogrammed and operator-entered threat signals under microprocessor control. The preprogrammed PCMCIA card can be removed for ease of operation and security.

The generator provides full frequency coverage from 0.7 GHZ to 18 GHz in 0.001 GHz steps in three bands and offers a millimeter wave frequency feature as an option to the unit. The test set contains a variety of features such as programmable jitter, stagger, chirp, scans, bean widths, RF level, coded pulses, and power save. It is environmentally sealed for all weather use and contains a backlit keyboard and display for night use. The unit is capable of up to four hours of flight line battery operation.
