Dupont Automotivehermoplastic rocker cover is manufactured using DuPont Minlon mineral-reinforced nylon and will be launched on 1.1 and 1.6L SOHC (Single Overhead Cam) HCS (high compression swirl) engines. The rocker was designed using FEA, shrinkage, warp and mold layout supports. The part is injection molded and vibration welded. The Minlon material offers high creep resistance, withstands oil temperatures of up to 150°C and offers resistance to micro-cracks.
