Signal Source Analysis Tools Speed Phase Noise Measurements

The Tektronix family of Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA) is well-equipped to handle tough phase noise measurements and more. A new set of integrated signal source analysis tools provides new display views for comprehensive phase noise analysis. Among these are Noisogram, phase noise versus offset frequency, integrated phase noise versus time and carrier to noise versus time.

The RTSA seamlessly captures spectral data over time and delivers time-synchronized views in multiple domains — frequency, time, modulation, and more.

The RTSA's Frequency Mask Trigger, unique among spectrum analyzers, triggers on frequency-switching transients, including those found in signals from FHSS systems, PLLs and VCOs. It is a fast and easy way to trigger on transient signal bursts to capture distinct RF events for in depth analysis.
