SARS Corp. And AMS To Provide Real-Time Flight Data Monitoring And Asset Tracking

Seattle, WA - SARS Corp., a leading provider of remote asset management and telematics solutions, announced recently that it has teamed up with AeroMechanical Services Ltd. to offer a global aircraft tracking service to the aviation industry. The service, currently in use in sub-Saharan Africa for tracking humanitarian relief aircraft, is designed to improve the safety, security and operational efficiency of aircraft and flight personnel.

AMS is a leading designer, developer, and service provider of innovative solutions to the global aerospace industry. As part of a joint development agreement with SARS, AMS' Automated Flight Information Reporting System (afirs) now interfaces with the SARS Intelitrax Flight Following Service. AMS' premier technology, afirs UpTime ("afirs UpTime"), allows aircraft operators to monitor and manage flights in real-time. With SARS Intelitrax, multiple authorized personnel now have a single portal to track air fleet operations, including historical data, from any location using a Web browser.

"We saw that the afirs UpTime service was a major breakthrough in remote monitoring of flight operations and we moved quickly to integrate the data derived from the Flight Following Service into our asset management platform," said Clayton Shelver, CEO of SARS. "This has opened up a large, global market with commercial fleet operations for our Intelitrax service, and has given us the opportunity to be part of an important humanitarian effort."

SARS Intelitrax customers have the unique ability to combine air, ground, and marine assets into a single operational picture using the best hardware solutions available. The afirs UpTime service solution was selected by SARS as the outstanding product and service in the aviation sector.

Bill Tempany, CEO of AMS, said, "Our customers are very interested in technologies which improve their ability to manage their assets, crews and customers. SARS has been a valuable tool to our customers in their ability to monitor their flights and provide flight details to their customers, and our efforts with the integration of our data feeds to SARS' software has been one of the easiest to date. SARS' staff provided us the correct information the first time to make the feed of afirs UpTime data to their tool seamless to our customers. We view our relationship with SARS as a win, win, win. Our customers are the ultimate benefactors of our relationship."

The SARS Intelitrax Flight Following Service is compatible with virtually all communications hardware equipment and embedded systems. It integrates with major satellite and terrestrial systems to deliver information in an easy-to-use, Web-based format.
