Rolls-Royce BR710 selected for Gulfstream GV-SP
Rolls-Royce announced that its BR 710 turbofan will power the new Gulfstream GV-SP. The company says a combination of aerodynamic and engine enhancements, including an improvement in the specific fuel consumption, will yield increased range along with a reduction of 150 ft in the required takeoff distance.

Launched in 1992 and certificated in August 1996, the BR710 currently powers the Gulfstream V, Bombardier Global Express, and was selected for BAe Systems Nimrod MRA4, the UK's new maritime reconnaissance aircraft.
