Reverse Engineering Software

Delcam PLCupgraded its CopyCAD reverse engineering software. The company says the program now features a simplified user interface including a "Reverse Engineering Wizard," which takes the user through each stage and provides prompts when necessary.

The program also incorporates color mapping, error analysis and smoothness shading. Unlimited "undos" are available at any stage, allowing the user to experiment without having to repeat the whole process. The software also gives the option to develop construction lines from the data for the production of surfaces. The company says the program can be used with all CADCAM systems or as part of its Power Solution software for product design and tooling manufacture.
