Introduced in November 1999 (after more than a year of preparation), the Programs Database is the newest of the Defense/Aerospace Competitive Intelligence Service (DACIS) databases. The Programs database was developed to satisfy our customers' requests for a database that would provide high-level descriptions for the tens of thousands of records growing in our Contracts database.

But providing that description was just our starting point. We've also provided up to five links for each program, under which are grouped all the program's contracts, its customers, its subcontractor/supplier relationships, its competitors, and links to programs of related interest.

Coverage

  • More than 7,000 descriptions of major defense and aerospace programs, high-level descriptions, and links to contracts, customers, subcontractors and suppliers, competitors, and programs of related interest.

    Search Fields

  • Program Name
  • Program Description (full-text search)
  • Company Name

    Links

The Programs database contains links to all three of the other DACIS-Basic databases.

  • Contracts. Chronologically list the contracts awarded under any program, and then click through to the Contracts database to read a detail of any or all of them.

  • Companies. Links to all of the companies involved in the program.

  • Customers. Links to all customers for the program.

  • Subcontractors/Suppliers. Links to all subcontractors on the program, with descriptions of their contribution, as well as all suppliers who support the program. Also provides links up to platforms for systems and subsystems.

  • Competitors. Provides links to all competitors on a program.

  • See Also. Links to programs of related interest.
