A new on-line Microtox-OS test system automatically monitors aquatic toxicity for 14-day periods with automatic sampling and testing every 20 minutes. Applications include WWTP influent and effluent monitoring, and toxicity testing of raw drinking water.
Microtox-OS has been designed with automatic calibration, a learning mode, remote access via modem, and modular components for ready servicing. The system captures the metabolic affect of toxicity on the light output from luminescent bacteria.
