New AviNet® Feature Makes It Easy To Send IATA And ICAO Messages

Annapolis, MD - Thousands of travel and aviation businesses around the world rely on IATA and ICAO text-format messages to conduct vital transactions every day. Now they can reduce their manual work with an automatic formatting feature of AviNet® Type B network service from ARINC Incorporated.

Two new message templates allow AviNet users to compose and send properly-formatted IATA and ICAO text messages conveniently—by using their regular e-mail or web mail computer systems. The AviNet templates eliminate tedious manual text formatting and help to ensure important business messages will go through without errors.

ARINC has also introduced a third innovative template—a Double Signature form that permits authorized users to designate third-party billing.

"Along with our recent templates for Telex and fax messages, these new user tools put AviNet's Type B service years ahead of the competition," stated Jeannine Hendricks, ARINC Program Manager. "We've been progressively enhancing AviNet Mail for more than a year now, and most travel-related businesses now have a major reason—efficiency—to switch to our advanced, user-friendly AviNet Type B service."

ARINC provides all of the new templates free to AviNet customers. Most of the functions are covered by standard service rates. The exclusive new Double Signature capability, which allows one AviNet customer to send messages on behalf of another and specify who is to pay, carries a small fee.

AviNet users can also create and store copies of their most frequently used messages. By simply retrieving and editing these forms, users can further cut down on their routine paperwork. To download the new AviNet templates for ICAO and IATA messaging, fax, Telex, and Double Signature capabilities, AviNet customers should contact the ARINC Call Center at 1-800-633-6882, or send a request by e-mail to helpdesk@arinc.com.

The aviation community uses AviNet to exchange mission-critical passenger information, reservations, operational messages, and cargo tracking information. Thousands of businesses use AviNet Web Mail for access to vital Type B mail and Internet mail from any Internet connection, anywhere in the world. AviNet Web Mail enables multiple channels of communications with AviNet users, IATA Type B users, e-mail users, SPEC 2000 users, Fax, Telex, X.400 users, SMS users on mobile phones and pagers, and users of other public and private networks.

AviNet is a private global IP network that gives users complete control over message delivery and spam-blocking. AviNet provides secure business-quality messaging between trading partners for commercial confidentiality. AviNet Mail and AviNet Web Mail messages are encrypted, and user names and passwords are protected.
