Natel Engineering Participates in Raytheon Leadership Forum

NATEL Engineering Co., Inc. was excited to participate in Raytheon's Leadership Forum on January 29, 2004, in Washington, DC, as the only vendor from Raytheon's supplier base invited. NATEL contributed to a panel that presented examples of the positive impact Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) has had on Raytheon's business. NATEL's presentation focused on the solutions it has provided both proactively and reactively as an Integrated Supply Chain model.

The panel demonstrated how growth is achieved with the pillars of Relationships, Performance, and Solutions—all established in Customer Focused Marketing. NATEL's portion covered the specifics of several real world events that have taken place over the last four years. Through the principles of R6S and Integrated Supply Chain, NATEL, Raytheon, and its customers have benefited in ways that could not otherwise have been achieved, including improved yields from 65% to 95%, reduced manufacturing time from eight weeks to a few days, decreased manufacturing costs, and an improvement in Raytheon's and NATEL's future competitive position. The Leadership Forum is held each year by Raytheon CEO Bill Swanson as an opportunity to share the company's vision and direction with his top level employees. Other leaders involved in the forum included the Executive Vice President for Boeing, the Program Manager for Excalibur, the Minister of Defense Materiel for the British Embassy, and the U.S. Undersecretary of Defense Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics.
