Modeling-for-Manufacture Software

Delcam PLCmodeling-for-manufacture software provides the full functionality of the CAD elements of DUCT. With it, users can take designs prepared with proprietary modeling systems and, using surfacing tools such as surface creation from curves and dynamic surface manipulation, can add complex features such as fillets and split and draft surfaces which are needed to ensure trouble-free manufacture. The software is suited for mold and toolmakers who receive designs from external systems and need to verify and complete them before creating the NC machining data. It can accept data in the form of IGES files; direct interfaces to popular proprietary CAD or CAM systems are available on request. In addition, the true bi-directional data compatibility between Delcam PLCand DUCT allows models to be generated in one system and transferred to the other for further work downstream.
