JetBlue Airways Chooses API's ESP Solution
Memphis, TN - Aerospace Products International, Inc. (API), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Aviation Services, Inc. and provider of distribution and supply chain services for the aviation industry, announced that JetBlue Airways, an airline, has chosen API's Electronic Supply Program (ESP) solution to manage the supply of shelf-life limited chemicals and other products to JetBlue line stations. JetBlue Airways will capitalize on ESP's automated replenishment and shelf-life management features to maximize product availability and generate increased cost-efficiencies, according to API.
ESP is API's web-based inventory management service that capitalizes on easy-to-use technologies, including handheld Pocket PCs / barcode scanners and a hosted database, to allow customers to track inventory transactions, view global inventory status and automatically replenish stocks, according to the company. ESP now also offers additional solutions including Rotables Management, Tool Room Management and Shelf-Life Management. API's ESP Shelf-Life Management solution enhances API's product distribution offering by providing customers with automated management of the shelf-life limited items stocked at customer locations, adds the company.
According to API, implementation of ESP requires no IT investment. ESP is web-based and can be used from any computer with Internet access. API also helps implement ESP, including stockroom set-up, bar-coding, and inventory planning.
