Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc. (ISS; Malvern, PA) was awarded a $19.7-million follow-on contract to supply additional RVSM (reduced vertical separation minimum) compliant air data instrumentation for retrofit aboard U.S. Air Force KC-135 aircraft.

The KC-135 fleet is undergoing a major navigation system upgrade involving some 600 aircraft. ISS, the sole supplier of RVSM compliant air data equipment for these airplanes, will continue retrofit installations through the first half of fiscal 2002.

ISS designs and manufactures flight information computers, electronic displays and advanced monitoring systems that measure and display critical flight information such as aircraft separation, airspeed and altitude as well as engine and fuel data measurements.
