IMAN Product Structure Management (PSM)
Configuration Management
Configuration Management (CM) enables the user to configure working or released revisions of parts or assemblies to be loaded into an active session. The user can set rules to determine which revisions or variants are configured, and which components are effective in the Bill of Material.
Enhanced Configuration Management
The underlying architecture of iMAN is designed to fully support generic Bills of Material (BOMs).
The user can easily associate data with structure, allowing both variant and effectivity configuration.
This capability is further enhanced by the availability of toolkits to accommodate the sophisticated algorithms and other needs of specific implementations.
"Where Used" Function
The PSM "Where Used" function enables the user to quickly conduct an impact analysis by finding item revision locations in all structures based on precise or configured revisions.
MRP Interoperability
iMAN Variant Configuration Modeling supports modular design practices and enables the capture of product models, option and usage in terms of allowable combinations. This provides opportunities for process improvement by enabling the development of single, logical (generic) BOMs to act as a "reference point" for product portfolio management.
