Standard Aeroro, an independent gas turbine engine and accessory repair and overhaul company, services Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell and General Electric engines. It is part of the Dunlop Standard Aerorospace Group and has overhaul facilities and service centers in Canada, United States, The Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, Philippines and Mexico. Clients include government/military organizations, helicopter and corporate operators and regional airlines in more than 70 countries.

One of the latest projects the company has undertaken is the design, with Lockheed Martin, of a new engine test stand. The AE2100 Mobile Engine Test Stand, said to be the only one of its kind, allows functional and operational tests of the Rolls-Royce AE2100 power plant assembly, which powers the Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules transport aircraft.

The stand permits complete testing of all systems on the AE2100 engine in a nacelle, or casing. This power plant assembly, also known as a Quick Engine Change (QEC) Unit, is designed to be taken off the wing and exchanged, causing less aircraft downtime during maintenance.

The stand and its control cab communicate electronically through a nacelle interface unit with the engine's full authority digital engine controls (FADEC). The control cab is insulated from electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions and uses computer-generated instrumentation for hypersensitive measurements. The stand also features a unique 13.5-foot diameter, 6-bladed propeller manufactured completely from carbon composites.
