ECM is pioneering the use of a new 15.1" TFT flat panel touchscreen to operate its filament winding machines. The touchscreen will enable the user to point and touch the controls instead of using a keyboard, mouse and separate control panel to execute the same instructions.

The rackmount system used in conjunction with the touchscreen adds reliability and durability to the control system. The industrial PC's strong, well-built, fully-sealed and well-cooled steel chassis is designed to specifically withstand high operating temperatures, humidity, dust, heavy shocks and vibrations in harsh working environments.
