E-Log Maintenance Records on CD-Rom
E-Log™ catalogues digital images taken directly from existing aircraft, engine, propeller, and APU maintenance logbooks. As each record entry is scanned into E-Log™, the image is "tagged" with the log date, aircraft (or engine, prop, etc.) total time, and landings or cycles, as applicable. This indexing or "tagging" allows the records to be searched for selected dates, times, or cycles to confirm proper compliance remarks for specific Inspections, Airworthiness Directive sign-offs, etc. Once the desired image is located, it can be enlarged in whole or in part, rotated, printed, or e-mailed as a .TIF file.
Once created, the aircraft owner receives a E-Log™ on CD-ROM which can be run on nearly any computer with a CD drive. The images are accessed as "read-only" to ensure the images remain accurate representations of the original document. As additional entries are recorded in the paper logbooks, copies are submitted to AVTRAK where they are scanned, indexed, and incorporated into the aircraft's database. The owner is provided an up-dated CD-ROM quarterly.
