CEL Aerospace Test Equipment (Montreal, Canada) announced it has signed a $6-million contract with the Republic of Singapore's Ministry of Defence (MOD) to supply a new test cell facility for turboshaft engines.

The new facility, which includes test equipment and CEL data acquisition systems (DAS), will allow the MOD to repair and overhaul General Electric T700s, Turbomeca Makila's and Honeywell T55/T53s engines.

The company said it received support from the Export Development Corporation (EDC) for this contract and was selected from 10 firms in a bidding process that started last June.

CEL Aerospace designs and manufactures aircraft engine test facilities and engine component test equipment. Clients include air forces; maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) shops; and private and commercial aircraft operators.
