Buff-it

Source: Chase Industrial Products Corporation
Buff-it material in discs and belts will do all that a buffing wheel can do, on angle grinders or belting machines. Buff-it incorporates both natural and non-woven fibers, and will accept the same compounds used in conventional buffing and polishing, without the drawbacks. Buff-it will provide long life, and can be cleaned and reused. Discs can be velcro-backed. Belts can be up to 53" wide, with low-stretch backings. Besides the usual buff/polish applications, Buff-it is effective in pre-paint operations and in the buffing of aircraft skins.
Buff-it discs and rolls incorporate traditional natural fibers with non-woven technology into a product that can do anything a buffing wheel can do. Buff-it can be used on an angle grinder, allowing the operator greater flexibility than using a buffing wheel on a floor-mounted lathe. The surface of the disc is uniform, providing an even finish without having to gang several buffing wheels together. In belt form Buff-it can be made up to 53" wide, giving "time saver" operations the added ability to buff and polish. Since the use of coated abrasive belts usually preceeds buffing, the part can remain near the belt grinder with only the abrasive belt being replaced by the Buff-it belt. Even flexible shaft buffing can be replaced with buff-it discs on angle grinders, eliminating the scratching which can result from the lathe nut and safety flange touching the part. Virtually any material which needs surface finishing can be done with Buff-it discs and belts, without having to test new bufing and polishing compounds.
