Boeing Awarded Navy Contract

The U.S. Navy has hired the Boeing Co. to work on the Modification/Installation Program for the P-3 Orion and S-3 Viking Maritime Patrol aircraft.

The company is responsible for installing modification kits designed by the Navy. The work includes electronics, avionics and structural modifications, and will take place at the Boeing Shreveport (LA) Aircraft Modification Center and by Boeing field teams at navy locations.

The contract with the Navy is a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a $50 million threshold.
