Bare and Insulated Wire
Bare Thermocouple Wire - FP sells bare thermocouple wire to other sensor manufacturers as well as end-users that prefer to make their own thermocouples. We sell nearly all gauges of all calibrations that we also use in production of manufactured thermocouples - from base metal to platinum-rhodium.
Insulated Thermocouple Wire - FP has many calibrations with a range of insulating and protective materials from which to choose - when selecting the insulation for thermocouple wire, the customer must consider both the environment and temperature. We carry standard insulative materials, such as fiberglass, high-temperature fiberglass, refrasil, ceramic fiber, rubber, nylon, PVC, teflon tape, extruded teflon, kapton and synthetic fiber. In addition, most can be covered with inconel or stainless steel overbraid for additional abraision resistance or have color-coded insulation.
Insulated thermocouple wire can be fabricated into accurate and dependable thermocouples for uniformity surveys by joining the positive and negative legs together at the measuring junction. FP provides customers with a 'Fast-Fix' alternative to creating a welded junction - this is a physical connector, eliminating the time and equipment requirements of welded junctions.
