Airframe Bearings

All Timken Super Precision (MPB) aircraft control bearings (except AW-AK) are full ball complement construction for greater load carrying capacity. Bearings are manufactured under thorough material, dimensional and performance guidelines.

All standard series bearings are also available in a precision series. When ordering, add an "M" prefix to the basic part number. An alternate 440C stainless steel material is available for all precision "M" series bearings. Specify by adding an "A" prefix to the basic "M" series part number. Stainless steel bearings may also be cadmium plated.

Features:

• Materials: Balls and rings are machined from high carbon, chromium alloy steels.
• In certain cases, rings can be produced from AISI 440C stainless steel.
• Corrosion Resistance: Cadmium plating per QQ-P-416, type 1 class 2 on exposed surfaces except bore.
• Load Capabilities: Aircraft control bearings are designed for intermittent slow rotation. Continual rotation is not recommended. Please consult the factory for design recommendations and specific continual rotational load ratings.
• Dimensions: English units are standard, Metric Reference dimensions are available
• Miscellaneous: Manufacturing conformance to MIL-B-7949. Spacers eliminated by extending inner rings beyond outer ring faces. Unless otherwise stated, self-aligning bearings allow misalignment up to 10º in either direction.
