Foxtronics, Inc.asic Ramp Guard Aircraft Security System consists of five components designed to monitor up to 32 areas on an unattended aircraft, store intrusion information for later review by the crew, and sound alarms immediately (remote radio alert optional) in the event of an intrusion.

A two-digit display and a keyswitch provide control and status information about the system. The display may be mounted in any area and may be viewed from outside of the aircraft. The keyswitch is normally located close to the display in an area not likely to be noticed by casual observers. The remote mounted monitor unit is located in the avionics area of the aircraft and connects to all sensors and external alarm units and radio transmitter if used.

Sensors are attached to each area to be monitored, including cabin and baggage doors, inspection plates, fuel cap doors and engine inlets and outlet covers, wheel openings, and similar points. When any area is disturbed the system will record the event in its internal memory for future review and will cause external alarms to be activated to summon security personnel and frighten off intruders.

Output circuits are provided to activate any alarm device, with a two-watt, high/low audio tone, relay contacts, and switched aircraft battery power as standard outputs. An optional 18-watt quality amplified speaker is available and will mount in a four-inch square area with only a two inch diameter hole required for the sound outlet.

Operating on its internal power source completely independent of the aircraft, the system will remain active for over three weeks even if all power and batteries are removed from the aircraft. Internal batteries are automatically recharged during normal aircraft operations and need no crew attention.
