104 Key Enclosed QWERTY Keyboard
StacoSwitch's new Molded Elastomer Technology (MET) keyboard was designed for rugged duty computer applications. Based on the popular M7 64 Key QWERTY Keyboard, these keyboards are ergonomically designed with an exciting new look. APPLICATIONS
MET keyboards are manufactured to meet exacting specifications. They are watertight sealed and dustproof, meet a NEMA 4 water resistance rating and will perform well under severe environmental conditions.
MOUSE POINTER (OPTIONAL)
The mouse pointer device has two activation buttons for left and right mouse clicks and interfaces through the 9-pin serial mouse port connector. The mouse pointer device can be activated by fingertip pressure in the desired direction of display cursor movement. Its ruggedness makes it the perfect addition for this keyboard.
BACKLIGHTING (OPTIONAL)
All keys have been provided with even backlighting. Backlighting is from constant lit green LED's for a pleasant soft glow in dark to soft-lighted rooms. Power requirements for optimal LED backlighting are 2.2 amps @ 2.1 VDC. Alternatively, a variety of different levels of backlighting can be achieved by the customer controlling the amount of power to the provided power inputs.
FN KEYS
The keyboard has 12 function keys, Fl to F12, and a numeric "ten key" arrangement which is implemented on the right hand side of of the keyboard. Thirteen screen and cursor control keys are also provided.
PLASTIC KEYTOPS
Plastic keycaps are inserted over the molded elastomer keytop providing a superior tactile feel.
COMPACT
With its built-in palm rest, outline measurements are a compact 478 X 219 X 36 millimeters (18.8 X 8.6 X 1.4 inches). Key to key spacing is maintained at an industry standard human factors 19 millimeters (0.75 inch).
STANDARD COLORS
Standard color combinations include: 1) Charcoal Black enclosure, dark gray keypads, gray keycaps in the "alpha key sections" and Charcoal black keycaps in the "peripheral" key sections; 2) Gray enclosure, charcoal black keypads, black/gray keys; 3) Blue enclosures, dark gray keypads, gray/blue-gray keys.
