Simulator and Tester Interface

AIM-USAXM 1553T board is a C-sized, register based VXI module for testing, simulation and monitoring of MIL-STD-1553B bus systems. The board implements two functions: bus simulator, and bus monitor/analyzer.

The bus simulator function allows the board to simulate the Bus Controller and up to 31 Remote Terminals simultaneously. Non-simulated RTs can be monitored by the simulator function of the board. For simulation, full protocol error injection capability is available.

The monitor function provides full bus monitoring, error analysis and activity recording. A two level time tagging scheme for captured bus traffic allows detailed performance analysis of the monitored bus.

The module offers trigger input and output capabilities via the VXIbus TTL trigger facilities and the front panel connectors. Up to 4 Mbyte of RAM are provided on the module to support on-board storage of large dynamic simulation data sets.
