Interface Displays & Controls Awarded Anti-Collision Light Contract For USAF T-38C

Oceanside, CA - Interface Displays & Controls, Inc. (Interface), a registered women-owned small business, was recently awarded a contract from Tinker Air Force Base, to re-design the USAF T-38C Advanced Supersonic Trainer's Anti-Collision (Beacon) light. The Interface design uses new light emitting diode (LED) technology and other solid-state components. These form, fit and function anti-collision lights utilize new materials that significantly improve reliability to improve T-38C training system availability, while reducing maintenance costs.

"This significant milestone recognizes Interface as a key supplier of military and commercial aircraft exterior lighting, and marks our continued support of the Department of Defense (DoD) and international training and weapons systems," said Bill Lang, President & CEO of Interface.

"Interface's improved-design anti-collision light will guarantee seamless functionality and performance for the T-38C training operations, while significantly reducing overall life-cycle cost of the current T-38C beacon. Selection by the USAF broadens our experience with repair cost avoidance and reliability, and performance improvements to legacy aircraft exterior lighting systems," added Brent Barker, VP Sales & Marketing.
