Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.nstrumentation Port (IPORT) and Trace program verifies SATCOM system performance in real-time or playback mode. Dynamic data is displayed on a computer screen in multiple pages and can be recorded for future analysis.

The IPORT program addresses the performance of the SATCOM equipment on a line-replaceable unit basis. The data displayed on the screen indicates the aircraft global position, as well as attitude and direction, in conjunction with SATCOM equipment operational parameters.

The Trace program displays and records communication activities on a satellite link between the satellite data unit (SDU) and ground station in real-time for later playback. These messages are test based and time stamped for coordination with IPORT recorded data. The software logs call placement information, including call disconnect, call start and stop times, disconnect cause code, power levels and bit error rates.
