The Resource Scheduling System, RSS, is an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) system that enables you to quote, measure and attain accurate delivery dates while optimizing your schedule. RSS features:
  • Finite capacity schedules based on the actual loaded capacity of your facility.
  • A manufacturing script language that models how product flows through your facility.

The delivery dates you quote your customer are real and attainable because RSS knows the true capacity of your resources for the time period that the order is requested. RSS also will tell you if a quoted order cannot be completed by a requested date and the reasons why. RSS then gives you the tools to develop a plan with options on what it would take to deliver the order by the requested date. RSS monitors the schedule as it is executed and adjusts it as required. Whenever something occurs that will change a completion date, RSS notifies you and highlights the potential problem. RSS can help you manage the constant change on the shop floor and facilitate the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.

With RSS you will be able to:

  • quote accurate delivery dates to customers
  • deliver orders on time
  • build recovery plans
  • answer customer inquiries while they're on the phone
  • optimize the capacity of your critical resources
  • reduce lead times
  • reduce inventories
  • increase throughput and therefore profit
