Gulfstream G250 To Feature Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion Avionics

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rockwell Collins today announced that its Pro Line FusionTM avionics will be a key feature of the new Gulfstream G250 super mid-size business jet, with first deliveries expected to begin in 2011.

Standard Pro Line Fusion features in the PlaneView 250 flight deck include:

  • Three high-resolution 15-inch diagonal liquid crystal displays (LCD) capable of showing multiple formats
  • Two new Standby Multi-function Controllers (SMCs) installed in the glare shield that incorporate features such as Standby Instruments, Display Control, and Remote Information Display on a 5.3-inch LCD
  • Dual Advanced Flight Management Systems (FMS) with Wide Area Augmentation System and Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance approach capability (WAAS LPV) as well as graphical flight planning
  • MultiScanTM Weather Radar, a fully automatic radar that detects, analyzes and displays weather hazards from the nose of the aircraft to 300 nm ahead
  • Dual Integrated Flight Information Systems (IFIS) providing electronic charts and enhanced maps on the main displays
  • Data link system for Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and graphical weather
  • Traffic Surveillance System with Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities
  • Information management system enabling wireless updating of databases
