The high density polyethylene HDPE resin used to manufacture this item has been designed for use in special military applications pertaining to ammunition handling and is proprietary to the Scepter Corporation. The conductive properties permanently contained in the molded plastic will enable the funnel to be electrically grounded/bonded to the aircraft. This will effectively eliminate any static charge built up on the plastic surface.
