Collision Avoidance System

The TCAS 2000 is a Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System. It computes range, relative altitude and bearing of aircraft. The system determines if nearby aircraft have collision potential and provides visual and aural advisories to alert pilots and recommend the least disruptive vertical maneuver to achieve safe separation. Additional features include many display options, receiver/transmitter unit and a Mode S transponder. It is provisioned for processor and memory growth for future upgrades.
