The Avia V.510 propeller used with the Beech King Air C90/Walter engine converses (STC #SA01994AT) is a five-blade, constant speed, full feathering and reversing unit. This propeller utilizes a steel hub, has a maximum power rating of 777 shaft horsepower, maximum rotation speeds of 2140 RPM(overshoot), 2080 RPM (takeoff, and 1900 RPM (continuous). A 28 volt deice system employing B.F. Goodrich boots and brush assemblies adapt directly to the aircraft deice components- Recommended time between overhaul is 3000 hours- Operational performance history shows no Airworthiness Directives or Factory Service Bulletins against this model. The assembled propeller weighs 185 pounds. Propeller operations are controlled by a pitch governor, an overspeed governor, and an auxiliary pump, which provides the ability to feather the propeller for emergency purposes in the event that engine oil pressure is lost. On the C90/Walter conversion, the cabin noise level is drastically reduced due to the five blade design, reduced rotational speeds, and the fact that it is mounted approximately 4.5 inches further forward thin the propeller on the aircraft's original configuration. As delivered from the factory, the entire assembly is pre-balanced, including the spinner, bulkhead, and deice equipment.
