Aircraft Management And Private Jet Charter Service Provider Key Air Reinstates Full Maintenance Department Capabilities

Key Air

Leading aircraft management and global private jet charter service provider, Key Air, announces plans to renew a fully operational Maintenance Department to provide expanded service capabilities and support to its managed aircraft fleet. The addition of two highly experienced aviation technicians will also allow for extended maintenance service support to tenant aircraft based at its Waterbury-Oxford Airport location.

(PRWEB) - Key Air, a leading national provider of best-in-class aircraft management and worldwide executive jet charter services is pleased to announce that plans are underway to reinstate a fully operational Maintenance Department to provide expanded service capabilities and support to its managed aircraft fleet. Additionally, Key Air will also offer maintenance service support to tenant aircraft based at its Waterbury-Oxford Airport location.

Effective April 1, 2015, Key Air’s Maintenance Department will once again perform on-site maintenance and repairs, in addition to their continued oversight, planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance events and repairs. Key Air’s alliance with Pentastar Aviation to service its managed aircraft fleet will be phased out as Pentastar closes their Connecticut repair station to concentrate maintenance services at their own expansive PTK (Michigan) headquartered facilities.

Under the supervision of Key Air’s Director of Maintenance (DOM), Jim Calabrese, the company has begun transitioning services and expanding the department’s personnel to include the addition of two highly trained and experienced maintenance and avionics technicians. Mr. Kenneth Schielke joins Key Air as its new Maintenance Manager reporting to Mr. Calabrese. Additionally, Mr. Tony Ryan, formerly a Maintenance Manager for Pentastar Aviation, joins the department as a senior mechanic/technician.

With more than 22 years of mechanical and electrical experience, Mr. Schielke makes his return to Key Air where he began his aviation career as a mechanic. He brings vast technical experience primarily with the Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft types, specific to Key Air’s own aircraft fleet including the Gulfstream IVSP, Gulfstream V, Gulfstream 450 and Hawker 800XP. Mr. Schielke has performed aircraft conformity to FAR Part 135, which will be instrumental towards Key Air’s planned fleet expansion. As an aircraft maintenance professional for more than 15 years, Mr. Ryan has had tremendous experience servicing and maintaining various aircraft types. In addition to Gulfstreams and Hawkers, his experience also extend to Falcon Jets and Challengers, more specifically to the Falcon 900EX, Falcon 2000LX and Challenger 604 types, which will be beneficial to fully support all aircraft in Key Air’s managed fleet.

“The addition of these two senior maintenance technicians provides Key Air’s Maintenance Department the experience and bandwidth to deliver exceptional customer service and support,” said Key Air Director of Maintenance, Jim Calabrese. “Ken and Tony are an excellent match for our operation and will provide world-class services for our clients.”

“Returning to the full-service maintenance model expands our aircraft management service platform,” commented Key Air President and CEO, Alan DePeters. “Our expanded maintenance capabilities enhance our service offerings providing clients with a fully comprehensive portfolio of services to optimize the value of their asset.”

With a highly experienced team in place and expanded capabilities, Key Air looks forward to providing its customers with outstanding award-winning maintenance services.
